Charlie Stephens
Credentialed Veterinary Technician
Charlie has been working in the veterinary field for 9 years. Starting out as a kennel tech in his last year of high school, he quickly took an interest in the medical side of things and began training on the job as a veterinary assistant. He moved into a technician capacity after a few years and never looked back.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Charlie obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology from the University of South Florida in 2019. Here he met his wife Kaila, and they now have three (human) children together, to go along with their two cats and two dogs. The family moved to Utah in the fall of 2022
Charlie passed the VTNE, earning his CVT license in the spring of 2025. He enjoys spending much of his time in surgery, as well as educating clients, helping them to take better care of their pets at home.
Charlie is excited to be a part of this new team at Trilogy, helping provide top quality care to the pets (and people!) of the area.
Outside of work, Charlie is a full-time dad and sports fanatic; he will talk for hours about soccer if given the chance.

Ashlee Whearley
Credentialed Veterinary Technician
Ashlee has dedicated over eight years to the veterinary field, bringing a wealth of experience in general practice, wildlife rehabilitation, and emergency medicine. Her background spans a wide range of species, from domestic pets to exotics such as birds, coyotes, and deer. Among all the animals she’s worked with, chinchillas hold a particularly special place in her heart, though her dream is to one day work with a tiger.
Ashlee’s educational journey began with studying Zoology, which led her to earn her Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) and Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credentials. She is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification, with a focus on Emergency and Critical Care.
Ashlee approaches every case with empathy and compassion, viewing both the pet and their human family as her patients. She finds fulfillment in helping a frightened pet relax, knowing they are safe and cared for. Her love of fear-free practices is what brought Ashlee to Trilogy Veterinary Medical Center.
Outside of work, Ashlee enjoys exploring both the city and the mountains, spending time with her significant other, and caring for her own furry family which includes two dogs, a cat, and two chinchillas.
After being diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease, Ashlee became an advocate for the Polycystic Disease Foundation and developed a special interest in kidney health, both for people and their pets. She is passionate about client education and empowering pet owners to support their animals’ renal well-being.
Fun fact: Ashlee can mimic a dolphin call perfectly!

Melissa Paramore
Client Service Representative
Melissa graduated high school in 2020 with Honor Roll recognition all four years and served as the editor of her yearbook. She began college afterward, but after the sudden loss of her beloved dog, Vulcan, in 2022, she felt called to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Since 2022, she has worked in both a full-service veterinary hospital and a walk-in vaccination clinic. At her first hospital, she handled client check-ins and check-outs, phone support, cost estimates, and medication refills—an experience that sparked her passion for the field. At the vaccination clinic, she guided owners through their pets’ vaccine needs and gained a deeper understanding of preventive care. Through cross-training with veterinary technicians, she also learned how to administer vaccines, safely handle dogs and cats, and help reduce patient stress.
Melissa’s lifelong connection with animals began with her childhood dog, Kady, a gentle mastiff–pit bull mix. Later, her family adopted Vulcan, whose unique challenges never dimmed his joyful spirit. Their losses strengthened her desire to help animals and the people who love them.
She chose Trilogy Veterinary Medical Center because she values being part of a compassionate, supportive, and skilled team. Helping families through both happy moments and difficult ones is something she considers a privilege.
Outside of work, Melissa lives with her brother and sister-in-law in a lively home full of pets. She has two dogs of her own—Hades, her senior pit bull mix, and Suki, her energetic husky–German shepherd mix. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading, writing, and scrapbooking.
She is excited to continue growing in veterinary medicine and to contribute to exceptional care for pets and their families.

Hospital Manager

Brook Hutto
Hospital Manager
Life for Brook is wonderfully busy. She has Great Dane, Ares, who is a devoted mama’s boy. Her German Shepherd, Archer, is endlessly enthusiastic. Her cats, Rick and Morty, behave more like quirky roommates who occasionally choose to socialize. Her son completes the lively household, creating a home that is constantly full of energy, noise, and joy.
Brook has always had a creative side. Photography and design have been a big part of her life, and she still loves capturing portraits whenever she can. When she isn’t outside with her son and dogs, she enjoys unwinding with a glass of Cabernet, a slice of Satori Bellavitano from Smith’s, and a good horror movie.
Brook began her career in veterinary medicine in 2018 under the mentorship of Dr. Davis, who taught her much of the foundation she still uses today. Since then, she has worked as a veterinary nurse, shift lead, and practice manager before joining Trilogy Veterinary Medical Center. She is now only a few points away from becoming a credentialed technician and thrives in roles that blend leadership with hands-on care. Supporting her team, helping pets, and keeping the hospital running smoothly are all core parts of what she loves about her work.
Brook chose Trilogy because of her deep respect for Dr. Davis and Jen, and because she knew it was the place where she could continue doing what she loves most—providing exceptional care for pets while working alongside people she admires.
Veterinary Assistants

Karla Vega
Veterinary Assistant
Karla has been working in veterinary medicine for four years as a Veterinary Assistant. She became a certified phlebotomist in 2018 and decided to expand her skills and compassion toward caring for small animals. Coming from a preventative care hospital, Karla is excited to bring the same level of dedication and empathy to Trilogy.
A true husky lover, Karla is the proud owner of four at home. Her vibrant personality, positivity, and high energy make her a joyful presence in any clinic. If a husky walks through the door, you can count on her to shower your fur-baby with cuddles all day, every day.
Outside of work, Karla loves staying active and soaking up the outdoors. Whether she’s out on a hike, going for a run, or getting a good workout in at the gym, she’s always on the move. But her favorite moments are the ones spent with her family—and of course, her pack of huskies. From weekend adventures to cozy nights in, Karla finds joy in the simple things and brings that same warm energy into everything she does.
Fun fact : Cats love me. My immune system? Not so much haha.
